Awakening

"There are moments when troubles enter our lives and we can do nothing to avoid them. But they are there for a reason. Only when we have overcome them, will we understand why"- The Fifth Mountain

She died on 8th Oct. He died on 16 Dec. My office announced its closure in Feb and today- 26 April, someone close to me left to Canada for good. I can't help but to feel emotionally heavy and perplexed with life's rapid changes and challenges. Something tapped into my inner conscious as well, teaching me to be more appreciative and telling me that the past will be constantly recreated until life's lessons are learnt. To do it right and to do it well. Strange isn't it?

Sweet Delight

Monday's dinner at Equinox was such a sweet delight! My goodness, it serves the FINEST fusion food i have ever eaten in my life. Really. I love the cream of chicken soup the best. Its thick, sweet, creamy base makes a perfect combination with slightly roasted macadamia nuts (whole) sprinkled all over it. Super yummy~ The sweetest part was we (abt 80 pax) had a Tiffany & Co gift EACH. WOW. Check out my first Tiffany & Co item. It's a lovely jewellery box! :) I'm so glad to be part of the sales & marketing team to enjoy this sweet delight. ;p

Overloaded...with food

So today was Crystal Jade, tomorrow is Orchard Grand Court and next mon, Equinox.

last week was Sun with Moon and Sanur the week before. And there was also Sabai (fantastic n ex thai food at taka), Lei Garden, Marina Mandarin and Keyaki ( pan pac.hotel) in previous weeks......

with all these meals, who am i kidding if im not gaining weight? FAT, FAT, FAT. :S

Well, at least i can console myself that i never had to pay for any of the meals. They are treats by colleagues, boss, customer-lunch, external courses and events. I cannot refuse the meals even if i wanted to. And my friends' bdays are coming up one by one -which means more dining and eating. OMG. what am i going to do with the additional "spare tyres" on my waist? shucks!

On the brighter side, i'm thankful that i love my job despite seeing people leave. i do love the challanges and i feel important. :) i'm thankful i get to meet my 2 younger buddies who makes me laugh and i'm thankful i got a good pay to make my parents proud of me. i'm thankful i can get along with my boss and other colleagues. Now, i feel good..... though i'm still fat. hahaa

Updates for august

Boy, i feel damn tired but it's all good. The amore class i went is really fun. It's called CardioLatino, a dance workout program that combines Latin dances with aerobic moves. Having fun and burning calories at the same time is wonderful! The only complain i have is the hassle of bringing my sports shoes and clothes to change.

I smell really gd now after applying the Pear Glace body cream from Victoria's Secret. It's a moisturizing cream with ingredients like avocado, sweet almond, and calendula oils. Smells fresh and sweet. Just like a perfume. Thanks to Ah ni who bought it from the States. =)

Work has been hectic and that's why i'm not on msn anymore. I've decided to ditch msn to concentrate on my work. So the new sales manager is on board and im handling his stuff over to him. Hopefully, he can "walk on his own" and won't bother me too much so i can do my own stuff. haha.

Latest updates: i'm going to China on 14th -17th Oct for our regional sales meeting. And i'm going to Bangkok (personal trip) with some younger colleagues on 1st Nov. My blur young colleague told us the flight on 1st Nov was 630pm and i found out yesterday that the flight was 630am... -___-"

With a few strings of events, I realised what HL meant when she mentioned she was "babysitting" her younger ex-colleagues. i think i am in the same situation. Though my young colleagues are only 1 or 2 years younger than me, they just seem a little immature?...i can't explain. They are pretty looking and friendly gals but can be temperamental and easily hurt at times. And that, i perceive as a lack of maturity. They seem to be dependent on me and that's why i feel like a "babysitter".. im not too sure if going bangkok with them is a good idea. just crossing my fingers.we'll see.

Spider pig...spider pig

Had a fantastic week. A great movie & company really makes my day. :)

Steven drove down to somerset with Alex to have lunch with me on thursday. It was very sweet of them. Then we met again yesterday together with YT and we caught The Simpsons. It's darn hilarious. It's been a long time since i had a great laughter. Alex and me were laughing loudly but YT seems abit quiet. She probably didn't like cartoons.
Check out the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-O7Nteshv4 "Spider pig, spider pig. Does whatever a spider pig does. look out...he's spiderpig." LOL

After the movie, we went to look for Mag and the banking ladies who were at the KTV. Alex appeared strange when he heard KTV and then he revealed that some of the male colleagues brought him there previously and he was shocked. They went to the improper one if u know what i'm talking about. Shucks. scared the poor boy. "I've got VERY NICE colleagues.." Alex joked.

Elaine came down to meet us at the KTV and we proceed to Ice Cold Bar for drinks. Their chicken wings are yummy! She's been travelling to US alot and she got a coach bag for USD150! Levis jeans at USD20. so cheap...i also want to go!! She even went to Korea. how lucky. anyway, after we left the co. the corp comms manager resigned, 1 manager from retail resigned n 3 guys from service dept resigned. Way to go!! i think we spread the virus..opps. nay..the market is very hot now.

Meeting jozua, uncle L and HL tmr for our monthly food distribution. So glad Uncle L got a job. It's been tough. i feel like sleeping again..got a mild hang-over from last nite's drinks. zhen mei you yong.
till then. Zzzzzzz.

New Beginning

The only similarity between my ex and current co. is the place is just as freezing! Brrr. thankfully i've got 2 jackets with me in the office.
With the new job in town, i'm inclined to spend more. I tell myself with the additional pay increment i can afford more things so i bought and bought and bought. You can't imagine how much i've spent recently:

- Chest of drawers $250
- Clothes $150
- Shoes $60
- Dermabrasion package $430
- Unbilled items from Japan (thanks to Chris) which easily comes up to $100.
- Contact lense solution, cotton wool, , masks etc - $50

And then the loan shark (aka mom) starts to demand an increase for her monthly "protection fee". :(

It's ok i tell myself, at least the new job doesnt require me to carry heavy goods. I've been doing allocation and pricing, generating reports, collating statistics and other minor projects. It's all good and i can relate why i need to do these. It's definitely more focused than the previous job. However the moral in new co is low though due to high turnover rate. But i dont think i will let that affect me. The colleagues felt that the co. was disorganised but i didnt tell them that WN's much more worse. What's this compared to WN. Haha. it helps when u come from a tougher background i guess.

So jeffrey the salesman for SG& MY has left us. My boss Pete asked if i mind to help out with the SG sales while he handles the MY ones before the next person comes onboard. As such, I've been meeting a few customers with my boss last week and he's really good. The confidence he exludes is just amazing. No wonder he got promoted.

Colleagues are ok but i'm still the youngest in my team as one of them is calling me "xiao mei" all the time and that reminds me of my ex-colleagues. When i log in on my MSN, my ex colleagues are all messaging me telling me how much they missed me. Awwwww. so sweet. Even the german intern misses me ;p (ya..that cute little boy). I miss them too but again it's the same feeling when i left IF for WN. I always miss the staff. So this time round, i'm coping better. People come and go in your lives all the time. I just have to get used to it.

Ok. i better go prepare now.meeting my sec friends for a bday celebration.. We are having XO crab beehoon. Muahhaaha! till then peeps!

Before i left the office, i bumped into a colleague at the pantry.

Paul: "Hey, y reject my dinner treat..not gd la u.."

Me: "aiya, I got appointment with my department pple already..."

Paul:"hahaa..what's ur no. give me leh. we keep in touch."

Me:"Errr..ok. Pass me ur hp i key in"

Paul:"My hp not with me now. I give u my no."

I keyed in his no. and gave a miss call.

Paul:"u sure u got my no. or not? give me ur hp, i call n make sure its ringing."

He listens to my hp and hangs up after hearing the ringing tone.

I bid gdbye and went off.

2hrs later, while having dinner with my colleagues, the phone rang. it was Paul.

Paul:"Hello. who are u huh?"

Me:"Huh? u called me but asking me who i am?"

Paul:"hmmmm..."

Laughters in the background from my colleagues n me.
