July is Great!

Was reading May's issue of Readers' Digest and i was so touched by the love of this couple in the 911 incident that i started to cry....

Will write an excerpt from the article another day.

What's going on?
- Cousin came back from Canada. Brought back lotsa goodies! Blueberries, chocolates, sugary cinnamon hazelnuts, organic soap, perfume etc... and i can't believe my 14 yr old nephew is now standing at 1.8m!!!! Darn! Why?why? why...how come most of my paternal cousins/nephews/niece are tall and i'm not.. SO UNFAIR.

- Met up a friend whom i haven't seen for months. perhaps a yr. people change throughout time i realised. somehow, somewhere they get influenced by their new friends or just developed a different personality. i wonder if things are ever the same anymore. or probably i didnt know my friend that well in the first place. but after all these years? ! sigh. what happened to the good old days? i think friendship takes two hands to clap.....else a close friend can also turn into a stranger throughout a long period of time. No Time + No Contact from either 1 party will depreciate the value of a friendship. sad but true.

-Read the news? Aiyo...Jude Law had an affair with his 23 yr old nanny! Yes i know no lady can resist his charm but as a once divorced and recently engaged guy....he should resist temptation! Yes...easier said then done.haha. hmm...y are guys so disgustingly horny? what happened to integrity, morals and responsibility? succumbed to that short moment of guilty pleasure? ladies out there....if u were Sienna Miller , will u forgive your guy for sleeping with another gal? ;p

F4 & Names

Watched Fantastic 4 on Tue. Free tix from my ex-colleague. Hee~. The plot is rather predictable but i still enjoy watching DC comic characters coming "live" in movies and flaunting their supernatural powers. I want to be Torch. Burning and flying around, heating popcorn with my palm. That's cool. ha. Jessica Alba is amazingly pretty in the movie but her name is kinda yucky->Suzie. Suzie is a... u know blonde, bimbotic, i-am-dumb kind of name (no offence to all Suzies out there..just my silly point of view) and it doesn't fit her. You know how sometimes when you look at a person and she tells you her name and then *Ting Ting*! Hey, the name doesn't "tally" with the face! It doesn't match.

Names are important. It has to fit the person in one way or another though they are not really within our control since our parents are the ones who named us.( yes, blame your parents, if your name sux. ;p) For example: Lydia- this is a mature name for ladies above 30. Joyce- a fun-loving person. Adam- a muscular alpha-male. Peter- a geek. and it just goes on....

Recently, i made the mistake of labelling faces with names again. I kept thinking one of my colleagues is called Terence. It's been a month and whenever "Terence" is mentioned i kept thinking it's that guy. Then one fine day, someone told me that's not Terence! im like "err...how come?ok.....but he looks like one." ha.

My name story ends here as i need to get to work. Will blog about some bitchy stuff that happened in the company some time later. till then....
