QQ

So it was a long awaited evening where me and my colleagues finally get to carry out our "QQ" plan - this discreetly planned outing to Kulai-Malaysia. We left the office around 6.45pm, an hr later then what we have planned and reached Kulai around 8.15pm. Famished and excited, we quickly ordered our food at De Fortunate restaurant where my colleague knew the boss. We had fried cod fish, steamed prawns, broccoli w scallops, roasted kampong chicken, mongolian duck and sea cucumber w fishmaw. The food was ok only.. not really worth the effort to travel that far but i think maybe it's value for money?( my colleague foot the bill and inisisted that it was his treat) . After dinner, we drove 5mins to another place for shopping and then headed to Mangrove Cafe for drinks. Nice place and the drinks are cheap and yummy. I had mango milk tea :) We talked about the people in the office and one of the topics was on this 23 yr old new contract boy whom they felt was abit weird.

I thought he looked familiar and realised he bears an uncanny resemblance to "Xiang Qin's" dad ( er zuo ju zi wen)..minus the moustache. HAHAA.Anyway, this chap whom my colleague barely knew told her that her eyebags are very heavy.. on his very first day of work! my colleague was shocked about how frank he was and a few days later, he reminded her to lay cucumbers on her eyes..what the?!haha. More stories next time. anyway we left around midnight and got stuck at the bloody traffic jam. Reached home around 2.30am!

Btw, i received my first wedding bomb. The bride-to-be is my friend's twin sister whom i wouldn't consider i know well. You know, i always feel that weddings invitations should only extend to relatives and close friends. Close friends as in the ones who celebrate bdays with you, you know their quirky habits, their pet name, etc. As for the bride-to-be, i dont even know she's got a christian name! so this is blehh..

Insane week

I feel darn suffocated this week with so many plans and changes and not to mention being mentally stalked by 2 people. *Gasping for air*

My initial plan for sat was simply to go for tuition and then dinner with the gals to catch up with a polymate.( which was planned like many weeks ago). Then came my sec friend’s bday. Told them I would prefer to meet during weekdays as weekends can be hectic. Everyone was ok but the bday gal said she probably will work till late so cannot. So she said sat. but sat I had plans already..so I told them abt my sat plans. Wrong move. I figured that the bday gal wasn’t too pleased. So I said how abt sun dinner? She cant make it so ok..change to lunch instead. Everyone (sec friends) was happy and e-mailing abt the places to have lunch so I was relieved that the case is closed. Then late at night, I received a phone call from The Mom. (kid’s mom) . She wanted me to teach on both sat and sun as PSLE is near the corner. Oops! Then came an MSN message from my ex-colleague the next day. She reminded me that a Taiwan friend is coming to Singapore with her friends. Wants me to come along to play host. They will be here from sat to mon. double oops! What shall I do? I only have sat and sun, how to meet everyone?? The gal from Taiwan even MSNed me abt how excited she will be to meet me on sat. OMG! She’s expecting me?? Boh eng leh…

I told my sec friends abt the tuition and offered a few suggestions. One of which I mentioned that they go ahead w/o me. I mean c’mon lor, they are with their prospective husbands and im the odd one. I’m busy plus so EXTRA anyway. Might as well give a miss BUT the bday presents are with me. Great. I asked one of them if I don’t go, will the bday gal get angry. The answer was yes she will. Sighh. So I thought nevermind la, I will just call The Mom and tell her I cant make it though I do feel rather guilty. As for the Taiwan friend, I think I will simply meet them on sun after the bday celebration is over. Not long after, my sis called. she asked me if she should attend my nephew’s concert on Sunday as she wants to celebrate her bday with the family. I’m like HUH?! Pardon me? Your Bday is on 29th Sept not 24th. Sis said we ALWAYS celebrated the weekend before the real bday. got meh?! I convinced sis that she watched too much TV dramas and is hallucinating.

Oh, did I mention The Mom keeps calling me at night like 11pm? She talks w/o a fullstop and keeps asking me for advices after which she doesn’t heed at all. And she yaks over an hr. my patience is running thin especially when the kids are not easy to teach and The Mom doesn’t listen at all. She’s my Stalker #1. Stalker #2 is Mr Contractor. This eeky guy who used to ask me out is back to his old habits! He keeps talking to me when he sees me alone. When I went to my store to look for items, he is there and starts to talk nonsense. He asked if im going out with my bf after work and I nodded. And yet he still asked me if I liked roses as he wants to get me some. And whether I want 12 stalks or 3 stalks?! Holy shit! I don’t want lor.. But I cannot flare up because I will need his boss’s help from time to time to get the people to help me with the showroom. So I tried to walk away and he still keeps rattling abt the roses.. if he really gets them next week, I think I will vomit. Did I mention that when his colleagues are talking to me, he will tell them to do their work and dont “sian char bor”. Then when they are gone, he will approach me. WTF?

This is an insane week. I think in a few months’ time, I will tell The Mom that im too busy for the kids and tuition has to stop. As for work, I hope to leave next Jan. Wish me luck.

2-in-1 Colleagues' Day

Today is a day where i meet up with my ex IF colleagues for a farewell lunch buffet and then to my current co's chalet for a sales celebration. Have not seen the IF people for more than a yr! Everyone told me i lost alot of weight- at the face area..not so chubby as before. ( i dont really think so leh..) I told them im aging that's why.haha. as usual, everyone will ask if i have a bf and i told them jokingly that i'm waiting for their recommendation and they will need to pass me the guy's resume before i consider.ha!

The food at Holiday Inn Park View wasn't fantastic at all, but well, it's the company that counts. missed those gd old days where we talked and joked abt almost everything. im truely glad LM moved on to a new place for her own good. way to go gal! My receptionist told me that i'm very much missed because im the most easy-going and sincere person in the company and that is rare. Awww..so sweet. then they introduced me to the new colleagues as the cutest gal who ever worked in the co. Wahaaha!! ( aiya, being the youngest is always the cutest mah!)

After a hearty lunch, i went to my present co's chalet at ard 5pm +..and when i reached i was wondering if i should leave my bag at the living room or leave it in the room at the 2nd level. i saw an indian lady walking down the stairs so i looked at my colleague and asked if it's safer to leave all our bags upstairs and the maid could look after them or something. My colleague was like " huh? got maid upstairs meh?" i told her abt the indian lady...she laughed and told me that indian lady was a colleague!! she's a contract staff. kua kua kua~ hahaaa! i really thought she was a maid leh..coz she dressed like one and i dont remember noticing an indian staff in my co. my colleague was laughing non-stop and told me luckily i never ask "the maid" to pour me a drink or run errands else damn pai say! aiyoooo.. heng ah! anyway, i won a $20 metro voucher during the luckydraw..woohoo. i can buy facial products from The Buty Shop( my latest craze) in CS metro. :) :) Ate non-stop the entire day, i really feel like a pig. hmm.. really need to watch my weight with so many friends' bdays coming up. darn.
